At present, the judicial reform centered on trial in China has brought great changes to the court trial concept as well as the trial rules, but it has also exposed some problems. In this paper, a prefecture-level city in northern China is chosen as the research object to investigate the problems of court trial after judicial reform. In this finding, it is pointed out that the following problems must be solved in order to realize the expected effect of judicial reform. Reform the people’s jury system and improve expert censorship; apply the evident examination rules and strengthen the legal application of rule of exclusion of illegal evidence; court-led and supplemented by a certain range of immunity from defence, perfect the lawyer’s defense function; strengthen the adversarial mechanism between the prosecution and the defense in the trial, and realize the substantiation of the trial; and finally construct a relatively harmonious prosecution-defense-judge relationship from the point of view of legal professional community.
