The current study focuses on the synthesis, characterisation, complexation behavior, and antibacterial research of several novel Schiff bases produced utilizing sodium hydroxide as a catalyst from salicylaldehyde, 3-amino benzoic acid, Glycine, and Alanine. Schiff bases are very good chelating ligands and transition metals could form highly efficient Schiff base complexes. Metal chelates of Schiff base produced by mixing salicylaldehyde and amino acids could be useful in understanding the transamination reaction process. They have the ability to act as biomimetic organisms. The Schiff base ligands were successfully complexed with the metal Zn (II) and their spectrum data were investigated. Utilizing SEM, morphological examinations were conducted. The effect of complexation on Schiff bases and their Zn (II) complexes' antibacterial activity has also been investigated.
