Abstract

In the present investigation an attempt was made to study the effect of food deprivation (starvation) upto some extent on the newly hatched larvae of bivoltine silkworm KPG-BXP5. Rearing data from five consecutive rearings revealed that starvation upto 24 hours do not hamperor deteriorate the rearing performance significantly except for a few parameters in unfavourable season (August - September).
