Abstract

This study demonstrates how cutting-edge communication and digital media can empower Thailand's farm industry at any level and can be integrated into ODL to best meet customer needs. Eight important farm leaders from four successful farms participated in case-based studies using qualitative research methods like data mapping and interview forms. It also made advantage of content analysis. The tangible results of how ODL embedded with innovative communication and digital media can empower all levels of farm sectors under the "SDGs" are described. The key discoveries include “ODL integrated with Innovative communication and digital media must be: 1) undertaken for the right reasons of any disruption; 2) sensitive to the real demands, problems and any phenomenal; 3) fit with the existing context such as existing disruptive infrastructure, i.e., farms and ICT; 4) best engaged among all stakeholders with all kinds of participatory processes; and 5) an appropriate innovative communication and tools design to fit with all farmers’ contexts, i.e., friendly relationship, pedagogy, administrative, and all kinds of participatory channels both online, offline, and integrated.
