As we all know, a batch of excellent note novels emerged in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Among these books, "The Dream of the Red Chamber" is undoubtedly the best work of ancient Chinese novels, and the description of clothing is also very accurate and unique. "A dream of Red Mansions" has many accurate descriptions of clothing and textile. There are 173 entries about clothing, involving as many as 50 entries in textile and clothing. Mr. Zhou Ruchang even called Cao Xueqin "the expert of clothing display". It provides rich materials for the research of the history of textile science and technology.
